Hurricane Katrina Information

We are operating at 100%!

Our heart goes out to all of those who lost their loved ones and homes in this devastating hurricane, including our friends and family. Our prayers are with you. Thank all of you who were concerned and offered help.

My girlfriend and I came to New Orleans three summers ago and stayed at your inn for two nights. I knew she would love the city -- it was her first time in NO -- but I think she loved being in your hotel even more. It was the best two nights we had that summer, probably the most wonderful two nights we've ever had! And it was because of you.

We want to make sure you're OK. Anything we can do -- if you need supplies, food, money -- please let us know.

Stay safe,

Joe Watson

Hi

I am emailing to let you know that your city is in our thoughts. We stayed in the Rathbone Inn in April 2005 for Jazzfest. We hope that you and your staff are doing well & that you didn't have too much damage. We will be visiting your city again & hope to stay at the Rathbone inn again.

My brother lives in New Orleans & stayed during and after the hurricane & it was really bad for him. He is now safe and staying up north with us. He is going back when it is possible.

Again i hope you all made it through the hurricane safe. My family & I are looking forward to visiting your wonderful city again.

Hi you two,

Hope you and yours are well! Couldn't help but think of you more in these last two weeks alone. We're terribly sorry to learn of this catastrophe and be in touch at these particular circumstances. However, please let us know how you're doing and what we can do in such a crisis.

It's been over a year and half since we stayed at your lovely Mansion and you were most hospitable. We've done nothing but speak of you and your bed and breakfast as well as your fair city.

Cliff and I pray that you all survived and will recover at God's speed as we look forward to seeing you down there sometime soon!

Sincerely,

Kimberley and Cliff Vico

We’ve been watching the coverage of the damage from Hurricane Katrina across the Gulf Coast and the subsequent levee breaches in New Orleans.

And while we know it’s still early in the assessment and recovery process, we’d like to offer some help. If you need anything to get your property back up and running – materials, supplies, advice – whatever – please let us know. We’ll be compiling a list of all these needs and will send it out to the other innkeepers listed on Purple Roofs across the country to ask them to help you.

If your property was damaged by the storm, please let us know what you need and the best way to reach you – by phone with number, by email, etc, and we’ll see what we can do to alert folks about these needs.

And throughout the next few days, weeks and months, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hi friends.
I have stayed at your hotel twice and just as recently as Aug. 12-14. We loved our stay and was already planning next year's trip.

How has everyone there fared Katrina? If you can get this email, I would love to hear from you, anyone!

We're thinking about you and hope all is well (under the circumstances) with you and yours. It seems like Mad Max/Water-world from our point of view. Monitoring the situation very closely. FEMA doesn't seem to be making much of a dent. Stayed with you three years ago. Stunk up the place with our 'sea-gars.' Is there anything we can do?

Luv.
